About the opera
On Saturday, June 13, together with Vereniging Bossche Opera, we will perform the beautiful opera La Sonnambula by Vincenzo Bellini. The piece is a love story about a sleepwalker, in which many complications will come to light. You will be drawn into the intrigues and scenes of the opera by Noraly Beyer, who will act as narrator. Peter van Aar is in charge of the direction, and Wim Reijnders, conductor of the Bossche Opera, is in charge of the musical direction.
The opera will be performed at the open-air theater “De Kersouwe” in Heeswijk-Dinther. Together with the soloists, the Bossche Opera, and the Eindhoven Symphony Orchestra, it promises to be a magnificent performance. Also check out https://kersouwe.nl/agenda/opera-onder-de-sterren.
Family concert TU/e
The family concert on June 21 is a concert especially for (young) children, in which various classical works are translated by actors into a continuous story. In this way, the music comes to life, and the themes of the pieces are explained and acted out. Children are welcome to come to the performance in costume, and the orchestra members will also be dressed up cheerfully!
For this project, the orchestra rehearses under the direction of Samuel Tamarit Otero. Samuel is an enthusiastic, talented, and passionate conductor who brings inspiring energy to the orchestra with his musicality and humor.
The concert is completely free and starts on Sunday morning, June 21, at 11:00 AM in the TU/e auditorium. So bring your grandpas, grandmas, friends, and girlfriends along, because it's going to be quite a spectacle!
About the Eindhoven Symphony Orchestra
The Eindhoven Symphony Orchestra has been a fixture in Eindhoven's music scene since 1969. The orchestra consists of professionals and skilled amateurs, totaling approximately 60 members from the Eindhoven region and beyond. In addition to classical works, the orchestra also performs jazz arrangements and world music, often incorporated into thematic programs.
It is an orchestra for young and old, where making beautiful music together and a friendly atmosphere come first. Symphony Orchestra Eindhoven regularly undertakes projects with music ensembles and choirs, and also gives an annual concert for (young) children.
